While electric micromobility company  does have a few e-bikes in its lineup of e-scooters, they’re more like electric mopeds than road or off-road vehicles. That’s about to change with the debut of an electric pedal-assisted mountain bike called the  at 2022.
Details are in short supply, but as you can see from the pictures provided, the will be built around a sweet-looking carbon fiber frame that looks like LED accents are embedded in the curved top bars.Although the overall weight isn’t given, the material choices certainly help with lightweight trail riding.
Powering the e-MTB is a 750-W Bafang mid-mounted motor, and 250-W and 500-W versions are also mentioned, suggesting that sales will also occur in regions with stricter e-bike restrictions than in the US.
Unlike many e-bikes that dial in motor assist based on how fast the rider pedals, this model features a torque sensor that measures the force on the pedals, so the harder the rider pumps, the more motor assist is provided.A 12-speed Shimano derailleur also provides riding flexibility.
Performance figures for the motor were not given, but the will feature a removable 47-V/14.7-Ah Samsung battery in the downtube, which will provide a range of 43 miles (70 km) per charge.
Full suspension is a Suntour fork and four-link rear combination, 29-inch wheels wrapped in CST Jet tires are equipped with sine wave controllers, and stopping power comes from Tektro disc brakes.
The head integrates a 2.8-inch LED touchscreen display, a 2.5-watt headlight, and the e-bike comes with a folding key that supports  unlocking. The  also works with the , so riders can use their smartphone to unlock the ride and go into settings.
That’s all is giving away right now, but  2022 visitors can get a closer look at the  at the company’s booth.Pricing and availability have yet to be announced.
