When you think of bike, you don’t necessarily think of mountains, but there are more and more mountain bike trails in the area. There is an area in hills are large enough to hold one person, and it is being upgraded.
“The coolest thing is that we spent a working weekend for volunteers last Sunday. Some of our volunteers planned to weld without even asking, using the best skills we could call, one of the volunteers who actually came out It’s a professional welder who can weld them together and make everything we need. So the effect is very good,” Selleck said.
This manufacturing is called the Whale Tail, and it was reused by the sidewalk railings from the Kilgore College Pedestrian Bridge, which will be demolished.
“And the way you ride it, you jump on the function, and then exit the function. At the end there will be a dirt landing here, and then move on,” Selleck said.
Mountain biker Sam Scarborough is from Longview, he is trying the Big Head mountain bike trail for the first time, so he takes his time; anyway, slow motion.
“It has very good trails, and a lot of jumps. It also has something for beginners, so anyone can really come here to do it,” Scarborough said.
“Make it the most versatile route. So you have berms, jumps and hips, and features like whale tails, which makes it the most interesting trail ride in the area,” Selleck said.
I decided to take the last part of the trail and see how it goes. Of course, I just walked around, speeding up the video playback speed. Ah, the magic and safety of TV.
