A bicycle can be said to be an “engine”, and maintenance is necessary to make this engine exert its maximum power. This is even more true for mountain bikes. Mountain bikes are not like road bikes that ride on asphalt roads in city streets. They are on various roads, mud, rock, sand, and even jungle Gobi! Therefore, the daily maintenance and maintenance of mountain bikes is even more necessary.
1. Cleaning
When the bicycle is covered with mud and sand and the pipes are polluted, which affects the normal use, the bicycle needs to be cleaned. It should be noted that there are many bearing parts in the bicycle, and these parts are very taboo to be immersed in water, so when cleaning, do not use high-pressure water flow, and be particularly careful where there are bearings.

Step 1 First, rinse the body frame with water, mainly to clean the surface of the frame. Wash off the sand and dust embedded in the gaps of the frame.

Step 2 Clean the fork: Clean the fork outer tube and clean the dirt and dust on the  fork travel tube.

Step 3 Clean the crankset and front derailleur, and wipe it with a towel. You can clean the crankset with a brush.

Step 4 Clean the discsspray disc “cleaner” on the discs, then wipe the oil and dust off the discs.

Step 5 Clean the chainscrub the chain with a brush dipped in “cleaner” to remove grease and dust from the chain, dry the chain, and further remove excess grease.

Step 6 Clean the flywheelpick out the impurities (stones) stuck between the flywheel pieces, and brush the flywheel with a brush to dry the flywheel and excess oil.

Step 7 Clean the rear derailleur and the guide wheelremove the impurities stuck on the guide wheel, and spray the cleaning agent to brush off the grease.

Step 8 Clean up the cable tubeclean up the grease on the transmission cable at the cable tube interface.

Step 9 Clean the wheels (tire and rim),spray the cleaning agent to brush the tire and rim, and wipe off the oil and water stains on the rim.

2. Maintenance

Step 1 Refinish the scratched paint on the frame.

Step 2 Apply repair cream and polishing wax to the car to keep the original color of the frame.

( Note: spray polishing wax evenly, and polish evenly.)

Step 3 Oil the “corner” of the brake lever to keep the lever flexible.

Step 4 Oil the front derailleur “corner” to maintain lubricity.

Step 5 Oil the chain to keep the chain links lubricated.

Step 6 Apply oil to the rear derailleur pulley to keep the lubricating degree of the pulley.

Step 7 Apply oil to the interface of the line pipe, apply the oil with a towel, and then squeeze the brake lever, so that the line can pull some oil into the line pipe.
