Electric Bicycles has a new mid-drive electric bike ready to enter its lineup. The new electric bike will be the most powerful model the brand has ever launched.
Electric Bicycles is the electric bicycle division of  Motorcycles, a popular motorcycle importer based in suburban .
The based company has worked in the motorcycle industry for over 30 years. In 2018, they started adding light electric motorcycles and scooters to their lineup, starting with their popular City Slicker model.
By 2019, they’ve combined the e-bike with two fat-tire e-bike models — that’s when the motorcycle company started Electric Bicycles.Subsequent new models include electric cruisers and cargo electric bikes.
The new e-bike (they’ve apparently never fundamentally lost the motorcycle naming scheme) will also be the brand’s first mid-drive e-bike.
The centrally located mid-drive motor is known for its power. The drive unit is listed as a continuous rated motor, but has been known to put out more power when pushed to the limit.
The bike will ship in Level 2 mode with a 20 mph (32 km/h) speed limit, but riders can unlock it to hit 28 mph (45 km/h) with gas or pedal assist.
The motor also outputs a maximum torque of 160 Nm, more than any other consumer e-bike mid-drive motor on the market.High torque cuts climb times and powers the bike off the line with quick acceleration.
Speaking of torque, the motor includes a true torque sensor for the most comfortable and responsive pedal assist. It provides a more natural motion response than cheaper cadence-based pedal assist sensors.
The electric bike combines a high-power mid-drive motor with a stainless steel for extended life and an 8-speed  Altus derailleur.
Adjustable handlebar risers help riders adjust the handlebar to the most comfortable height and angle.All-aluminum pedals adorn the cranks, and a hydraulic-suspension fork up front provides extra comfort and better handling on rough trails.
Stopping power comes from  dual-piston hydraulic disc brakes that clamp 180mm rotors.
The e-bike system comes with a color display and five selectable levels of pedal assist, as well as a thumb throttle for those who want to take a break from their pedaling.
Front and rear LED lighting is powered by the main battery, so you don’t need to replace  batteries to stay lit at night.
All parts seem to be from name brands and are of very good quality.Sure, a Shimano Alivio derailleur might be nice, but the Shimano Altus will fit just about any casual or commuter rider. While many companies have turned to off-brand components to save money and shore up dwindling supply lines, CSC appears to be sticking with branded components.
The battery is semi-integrated into the frame for a more streamlined appearance, with a capacity of 768Wh slightly above the industry average.
We’ve seen higher capacity batteries before, but many leaders in the market still use the smaller batteries we’ve seen here.
The 76-pound (34-kilogram) e-bike is heavy, in large part because the huge motor and large battery aren’t lightweight components.Neither are those 4-inch fat tires, though they more than make up for their weight in sand, dirt, and snow.
These bikes don’t come standard with racks or fenders, but you can add mounting points if you want.
The M620 motor is not a cheap kit. Most e-bikes we’ve seen boasting this motor are priced in the $4,000+ range, although they’re usually full-suspension e-bikes as well.
priced the at an of $3,295.To push the price even further, the bike is currently on pre-order, with free shipping and a $300 discount, bringing the price down to $2,995.Heck, my daily drive mid-drive e-bike costs more and has half the power.
Unlike most e-bike companies that require a full upfront payment,  only requires a $200 deposit to hold your reservation.
new e-bikes are currently in transit and are expected to ship in early 2022.The company explained that they haven’t provided an exact shipping date to leave Long Beach due to the current woes of bikes waiting in a sea of moored cargo ships.
Oh yes, you can have an e-bike in any color you want, as long as it’s green.Although you can choose from at least two different flavors: moss green or mustard.
My past experience with has been very positive, be it electric motorcycles or electric bikes. So I wish these bikes had more of the same.
I tested a couple of their 750W fat tire e-bikes last year and gave them two thumbs up.You can check out this experience in the video below.
